Minister Saji Cherian kicks off Magic Planet's 9th-anniversary celebration

Saji Cherian, Minister of Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Affairs in Kerala, praised the Different Art Centre for its outstanding efforts in integrating people with disabilities into society. He inaugurated the 9th-anniversary celebration of Magic Planet, the world's pioneering magic theme park. Magic Planet has now been enchanting visitors for nine years.

In his Chengannur constituency, construction is underway for an autism park, set to be completed within six months. Additionally, plans are in motion to establish an autism park in Mattannur, under the guidance of KK Shailaja, MLA. The Minister commended Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director, Different Art Centre, for spearheading such initiatives across the state, benefiting those with disabilities. Kadakampally Surendran, MLA, presided over the event, and KK Shailaja distributed orthotic devices to differently-abled individuals and recognized Vishnu from the Different Art Centre, who is on a journey to Japan. 

The Minister also felicitated Thomas and Bharatharajan, who have dedicated 25 years to Magic Academy, and the outstanding staff of 2022. The event was further enriched by the presence of the guest of honor, Ravi Shankar, renowned playback singer. Gopinath Muthukad extended a warm welcome speech to all attendees, and Shyla Thomas, Advisory Board Member, Different Art Centre, delivered the vote of thanks.
